5 Easy Tips For Preseason Preparation

Five Easy Tips for Preseason PreparationSummer has ended and fall has begun its full transformation; it’s time to start thinking about winter.

This upcoming winter is already being predicted to be one of the colder and crazier winters (Polar Vortex), compared to the last few years. Winter can be an amazing, beautiful spectacle, but like all facets of nature, winter is not to be underestimated.

If you are a Lite Trax snowtrax vehicle owner, you already have one step on those who haven’t had the pleasure of owning one. And now is the perfect opportunity to make sure you are on top of winter, with preparation to face all types of winter.

Getting your snowtrax prepared only takes a few hours of your time, and will help ensure that your vehicle runs smoothly once it comes time to use it. No one wants to be stuck in a cold vehicle when there’s a possible blizzard on its way.

So go ahead and give it the “once over”. Here are some things you should be looking for.

Preparation Tips:

  • Engine – Replace spark plugs, wires and oil. Give the vehicle a start and let it run for a bit to get the engine in proper form. Check to make sure you have enough coolant and no leaks.
  • Lights – Pretty easy stuff, check and make sure all bulbs and lights are in working order.
  • Inspect Roll Track – Without any snow and ice to hinder the inspection, bring the snowcat onto the asphalt. Look for any cracks, loose bolts, and rust lines.
  • Battery – Another simple task, make sure you have good voltage and the connections are not showing any oxidation.
  • Fuel – When running the vehicle, make sure your gas or diesel is fresh and that it’s getting through the engine properly. Syphon out old gas or diesel.

As with any vehicle you want to keep it in tip-top shape. So take care of your Lite Trax snowtrax and come winter, they will take care of you.
