Tips For “Summerizing” Your Lite Trax

1000-2Lite Trax vehicles are a lifesaver, particularly in the winter months. The ability to trudge through heavy snowfall without a struggle will make surviving in winter much easier.

Lite Trax vehicles are also beneficial during deep woods exploration and recreational activities like hunting. With the capacity to move through tough terrains and the ability to carry a load of equipment in the bed, life without the Lite Trax in the outdoors would be much different.

You might find that the Lite Trax product you purchased does not get as much use in the summer months and instead, it is kept stored away for safe keeping for when it is needed again.

There are steps to take to ensure proper storage of your Snowtrax. You’ll want to conduct a few inspections and other tasks before the Lite Trax is stored away. Doing so will allow you to utilize the Snowtrax the next season without a problem.

Here is a list of what you should do to “Summerize” your Lite Trax:

  • Check all fluid lines and tanks. These lines won’t freeze like they would in the winter, but it is a good idea to refill the tank for the next use.
  • Inspect the battery, engine and other mechanical functions. If you suspected a problem prior to preparing for storage, now is the time to get it fixed. Ignoring problems will only escalate and be too late to repair.
  • Clean your Snowtrax. Built up dirt, rock, and other debris can embed into mechanical functions and wear away the systems. Be sure to do a thorough cleaning and drying.
  • Store in a cool, dry, and shaded place. A garage or covered shed are proper places for storage. It is also recommended to cover your Lite Trax with a scratch resistant cover.
