What Lite Trax vehicle is best for the deepest snow? Our Standard tracks for the 1100 series LiteTrax SnowCat is 20” with 1.25” rubber paddles. We have other options available such as: Our wide track for deep powder and off trail applications. They are 24″ wide X 156″ X 1.75 in paddles which are perfect for steep terrain and deep snow. They enable your 1100 series snowcats to have 20% more floatation, 40% more traction! We also offer studded track and cleats for icy conditions.

Which sized Lite Trax snowcat will be best? The answer to this question largely depends on what your application is. The 800 series is designed for lower elevations, smaller loads and slower speeds. The price point is also lower. The 1000 series LiteTrax design is designed for a low to midrange elevation with a heaver load. The 1100 series machines are designed for peak HP at high elevations as well as peak torque for pulling and carrying heavier loads.

Should I get a Lite Trax with a blade? Blades make it difficult to push through really deep snow, but when you need to cut across steep hills, a blade is absolutely necessary. Blades are great for plowing in tight spaces due to the ability of the machine to do a zero point turn. The blade can be easily removed for back country travel.

Will it be difficult to maintain my Lite Trax snowcat? Lite Trax snowcats have evolved over the last 13 years moving from a uni-body to a modular design. We’ve found a design that works perfectly for configuring the right vehicle for your needs and is easy to maintain. We use parts that are easily obtain, so if you’re Lite Trax should need to be repaired, you won’t have any trouble finding what you need. If you do need a part that you are having a hard time finding, give us a call and we’ll help you out! We are committed to improving the design and are always listening to our customers.

Are LiteTrax units capable of pulling a snow grooming drag, what size and weight? Yes the 1100 and the 1000 series machines will pull a snow grooming drag, we recommend a 6’ groomer with 1’ wings on each side. However as you go up in elevation you will find that the 1100 series is required.

What is the L, W, H of these units? The 1100 d4 68” W X 76” T X 90” L the 800 and 1000 series machines are slightly smaller. If you add wide tracks or implements the size will grow.

I understand track is 20″ wide what is the total length and how much track is on the ground?

The 20” tracks are 156” and the total track length from front to back is 75”. We do have an upgrade to 24” tracks.

What is the sound level inside the cab? We haven’t measured it but it is comfortable in the snow. If you drive on hard pack it goes up because of the vibration. We do have a sound and insulation package that makes it even quieter.

Is this unit something that we would picked up at your factory?

You can pick them up at the factory or we can ship them to you or we can deliver them and do training and make adjustments to fit your personality. As our dealer network expands the machines will be available through the dealers

How long have you been building these units? We have been building them for about 13 years.

What is the length and height of the track lugs? The standard 20” tracks on the 1100 and the 1000 series have 1.25” lug that is 20” wide. The 24” track upgrade has 1.75” lugs with 8” staggered paddles.

What is the speed range? The machines can be geared for different applications. Their top speed can be set to 20 mph. The standard speed is 15 mph on the 1100 series, 12 mph on the 1000 series, and 8 mph on the 800 series.

Cab heaters available? All the machines have heaters.

Are these considered work vehicles? The 1100 series is considered a commercial vehicle.

Do you have dealers? We are always expanding our dealer network.

What is the trailer capacity necessary to haul a LiteTrax Vehicle? We build a tandem axle trailer with a 6’ X 10’ deck and a ramp that works great for hauling machines. The trailer needs to be rate for 3,000 lbs at a minimum. If the wide tracks are installed on the vehicle the trailer will need to be wider to accommodate the tracks.
